During our Mothering Sunday service this morning, as we celebrated the women who have walked with us on our faith journeys and encouraged us on the way, the church family blessed me on my way to sabbatical as this was the last Sunday I'll be with them til my return mid-July.
As it's common for a pilgrim to carry a stone, I was given a stone engraved with our church logo and the question I'm seeking guidance about on the reverse: And now what...? This is a question I'm also asking the church family to seek God about whilst I'm not around.
It was such a moving moment to stand in the middle of church, with my church family around me, each holding the stone for a moment and praying a blessing over me whilst The Blessing song was played: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDMijhOUOqk
