If I'm honest I'm currently holding a degree of apprehension about today which means despite the enticing breakfast spread I'm not feeling all that hungry. Rest assured I have had something though!
This morning I'll be starting my walk in Monteluco with a taxi ride so saving myself a 2 hour or so near vertical climb because Monteluco is the sister mountain to Mount Subasio, but I will still have ups and downs to traverse on the way and because of that the walk is likely to take a good deal of the day.
This is the route that Bret Thomas suggested that there are dogs that could be a problem somewhere along the way. So your prayers would be appreciated: that if I do meet any I will be brave, but also that they would have their mouths shut like the lions Daniel encountered.
As it's Holy Saturday, as I journey today my plan is to be considering something of the emotions that the disciples might have experienced after the loss of their beloved friend and Lord.
And one more thing from yesterday. As I climbed one path it was littered with tiny bits of tile. I picked up a random blue piece and kept my eyes peeled for a yellow one but no joy. However this morning as I took it out of my pocket to put it into the suitcase, I happened to turn it over and it has a cross on the back - amazing!
